About Black and Worldly<\/h6>

Black and Worldly is a digital space for BIPOC creatives, artists, and changemakers to feel reflected in voice, in story, and in care.

Created by Adobuere Ebiama, it was born from lived experience: the gaps in our systems, the strength in our communities, and the need for a space that holds both survival and celebration.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

About the founder of Black and Worldly<\/span>

A BIPOC-centered platform rooted in lived experience<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
\n

For nearly two decades, I\u2019ve worked as an actor and creative across cities like Boston, New York, London, and Portland. But more than the stages or photoshoots, it was the community spaces, the BIPOC and queer networks I moved through, that shaped me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those spaces taught me that storytelling is powerful. It can affirm who we are, reflect where we\u2019ve been, and offer something to hold onto. But eventually, I started to feel a gap. Storytelling alone couldn\u2019t cover rent. It couldn\u2019t access healthcare. It couldn\u2019t help people find safety or rest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That reality became personal when I lost work. I spent weeks chasing unemployment benefits, piecing together information from strangers online, and trying to stay afloat in systems that weren\u2019t built for us. And I realized this isn\u2019t just my story. So many of us are navigating it alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I kept thinking: where is the space that holds both?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where can we find resources and<\/em> reflection?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where can we be seen not just for our struggle, but for our brilliance?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Black and Worldly came from that question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s a platform built on lived experience. A refusal to separate survival from creativity. A digital home where essays on joy, grief, and artistry live alongside the dream of real, grounded support. A map for what we need and what sustains us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Black and Worldly is growing into a creative archive for BIPOC communities: one that holds space for truth, complexity, and connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is just the beginning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
